2026 School and District Summer Office Hours

All schools are closed for the summer. Middle and high school offices reopen on August 17, while elementary school offices reopen on August 24. Summer hours for the Knox 111 Administrative Office, located at 111 Bethel St. N.E. in Olympia, will begin on Monday, June 29, and end on Friday, July 31, 2026. During that time, the building will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

OSD Child Care Partnership

The Olympia School District (OSD) is leading an exciting new effort to reimagine early childhood support in our community. In partnership with the Washington State Department of Commerce, Olympia has been awarded a Child Care Partnership Grant (CCPG) to increase access to affordable, high-quality childcare. The project will examine the possibility of offering licensed child care in district facilities.

Free Summer Lunch Program Begins June 22

The Olympia School District is offering free lunch this summer for children 18 and younger. ​ Meals will be served from 12 to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 22 through August 14. Lunch will not be served on Friday, July 3.

Sun Bucks 2026: Expanding Summer Food Access

The SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) program is returning to support families during the summer months, when school meals are not available. SUN Bucks provides a one-time $120 benefit per eligible child each year to help families purchase groceries. In summer 2025 alone, nearly 550,000 children in Washington received SUN Bucks, helping families stretch their food budgets and support local communities.
